چکیده

Abstract Additive manufacturing (AM) or three-dimensional printing (3DP) refers to producing objects from digital information layer by layer. Despite recent advancements in AM, process planning AM has not received much attention compared subtractive manufacturing. One of the critical issues is deciding part orientation. In this research, integrative framework multicriteria decision making for orientation analysis investigated. Initially, quantitative data are assessed using envelopment (DEA) technique without preferences a maker. contrast, maker’s qualitatively analysed analytic hierarchy (AHP) technique. Then, proposed combining explicit as DEA, implicit preference AHP, and linear normalization (LN) used, which reflects both objective supporting 3DP Two particular technologies, namely Fused Deposition Modelling Selective Laser Sintering, used case study illustrate algorithm, further verified with experts improve AM.

Choosing a Commercial Broiler Strain Based on Multicriteria Decision Analysis

With the complexity and amount of information in a wide variety of comparative performance reports in poultry production, making a decision is difficult. This problem is overcomed only when all data can be put into a common unit. For this purpose, five different decision making analysis approaches including  Maximin, Equally likely, Weighted average, Ordered weighted averages and Technique for ...

A Multicriteria Approach to Risk Analysis Part I: Framework

Risk identification consists of defining the hazard, losscausing event E, probability P(E) of that event, perception Pe(E,P(E)) and consequences C(Pe) of that perception. Risk identification is followed by risk management, whose purpose is to mitigate the risks, for example by reducing P(E) or C(Pe) and providing suitable risk communication to the population at risk. Since managing risk has a f...

Multicriteria Portfolio Decision Analysis for Project Selection

Multicriteria Portfolio Analysis spans several methods which typically employ build on MCDA to guide the selection of a subset (i.e., portfolio) of available objects, with the aim of maximising the performance of the resulting portfolio with regard to multiple criteria, subject to the requirement that the selected portfolio does not consume of resources consumed by the portfolio does not exceed...

A Hazard Analysis Technique for Additive Manufacturing

The promise of Additive Manufacturing (AM) includes reduced transportation and warehousing costs, reduction of source material waste, and reduced environmental impact. AM is extremely useful for making prototypes and has demonstrated the ability to manufacture complex parts not possible (or prohibitively expensive) with conventional machining. Scientists and manufactures are finding increased u...
